As a work that delves into the aesthetics of math and geometry, it was selected in 1982 by the Museum of Modern Art in New York for inclusion in its permanent collection. It makes a great toy for children, or a desktop object.
We used to sell the original Yoshimoto Cube. Sadly it is no longer made, for reasons I don't understand. I noticed that Rubik’s from Rubik's Cube fame is now making a 'Magic Star'. This is basically the same but with multi-coloured squares rather than silver and gold squares.
