What is a MEMS gyroscope?
Manufactured with micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) it is a small gyroscope sensor that is manufactured using a similar processes to making silicon chips.
Components are between 1 to 100 micrometres in size (0.001 to 0.1 mm) and built on to a chip. MEMS gyroscopes use high speed vibrating structure
(Piezoelectric) rather than a high speed rotating disk.The entire system can fit on a chip and are widely used in electronic products such as phones, tablets, game controllers and VR headsets.
